This page explains what information is handled when you visit thejackpitts.com. I run this site personally. It is not run by Salt Creek Advisory or HelmIQ.
Who runs this site
Jack Pitts, an individual based in Chicago, Illinois. For any privacy question or request, email jack@saltcreekadvisory.com.
What this site does not do
- It has no forms and no accounts.
- It does not set cookies.
- It does not run analytics or advertising trackers.
- Fonts and images are served from this site, not from outside services.
- I do not sell information about visitors.
What is collected anyway
Even a simple website handles some information when you load it:
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel receives technical details when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, and a rough location based on your IP address. Vercel handles this under its own privacy notice. I don't control how long Vercel keeps these logs.
- Email. If you email me, I receive whatever you include, like your name, email address, and message. I use it to reply and to keep a record of our conversation. I keep these emails as long as reasonably needed for that purpose.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, including Salt Creek Advisory, HelmIQ, Substack, LinkedIn, Instagram, and podcast platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. When you click a link, you leave this site, and that site's own privacy policy applies. For example, the owner inquiry form at saltcreekadvisory.com is covered by Salt Creek Advisory's privacy policy, and Substack subscriptions are handled by Substack.
Your requests
You can ask me what information I have from you by email, or ask me to delete it. Email jack@saltcreekadvisory.com and I'll respond. I may need to keep some information if the law requires it.
Children
This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, for example if I add analytics or a form, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
